The third Lamberhurst Golf "Three Captains" event was held on Friday 25th June. Sixteen teams of Club, Ladies' and Vets' Captains, each accompanied by a Lamberhurst member, took part in the event which includes a "Beat the Pro" competition on the seventh hole.

The event was won by the team from Bearsted, pictured right, comprising of Adrian Hygate, Lynette Whitehead and Peter Quiller accompanied by Margaret Cook from Lamberhurst.

The prize for the home teams was won by the team of Ian Daker, Jan Moore and Cliff Smith accompanied by Tony Parry. Overall runner up was the 2008 Lamberhurst Captains' team of Julian Mitchell, Linda Hicks and Barry Cooke accompanied by Sally Gallagher.

Over £300 was raised on the day for the Lamberhurst Captains' charities.
