Sue Harding, 2011 Ladies' Captain, hosted the annual Ladies' Captain's Day on Tuesday 21st June. Whilst the day started in rain, it soon cleared although a strong wind was felt throughout. Forty three ladies competed in two divisions of roughly equal numbers. Despite the volume of wine and champagne consumed at the half way house, very respectable scores were returned thoughout the field.

The overall Captain's prize was won by Pam Tanner with 38 stableford points playing off a handicap of ten - a round which included a birdy four on the par five thirteenth hole.

Division one for players of 22 handicap and below was won by Vicki Soutar with 35 points, followed by Linda Daker on 34 and Sheila Hinton on 32 points. Division two for players between 23 and 36 handicap was won by Sue Baker again with 35 points, with Julie Edwards second with 34 points and Penny Turner third with 33 points.

Everyone thanked Captain Sue for a very enjoyable day.
