A very exciting annual Club Championship was eventually won by Leigh Ferris (top right) on the second extra hole.

After 36 holes Leigh and Adrian Harris were tied with 149 shots apiece. The first play off hole, the 18th, resulted in a birdie for both players and it was only after the second that Leigh emerged the winner to once again take the title Club Champion.

However, Adrian (bottom right) did not go away empty handed as his net scores of 68 and 71 were enough to make him the Summer Meeting winner on countback.

Earlier in the day Leigh had recorded gross scores of 71 and 78, with Adrian carding 73 and 76.

Following Adrian in the overall Summer Meeting competition was Michael Fogarty also with 139 net, Alan Nicholson with 141, Peter Edmondson with 144 and Tom Daker with 145.

The morning 18 hole nett competition was won by Leigh Ferris with 70, followed by Ron Beer with 71, Richard Bruce with 72, and John Hunt with 73 on countback from Brent Keenan.

The afternoon 18 hole nett competition was won by Andy Moore with 70 from Nick Sargent on 71.
